Food!!!

Errr..... anything I make in my own kitchen. If I'm eating out, probably Thai.

I don't much care for overcooked, stale seafood.

Lime corn chips. Or chili lime corn chips.

A mix that I made called "Songs that Take a Hero."

2001 Honda Civic.

Irene's tuna salad sandwiches with Utz potato chips and all the other things she used to serve with it. (Chicken noodle soup, carrot sticks, tomato and melon slices, ice cream and cookies...)

13. What characteristic do you despise?

Dishonesty and fiscal irresponsibility are tied for first.

14. Favorite item of clothing?

Uhmmmmmmm. I'm very fond of HoFS' cowboy hat. On him -- doesn't look as good on me. For me? I really like my new red cashmere sweater set. And that long black silk item of clothing is certainly, err, interesting. I think my favorite right now, though, is the gray Bulldogs t-shirt.

The upstairs is white tile with blue towels and rug and curtain.

The main floor is a glorious golden tile on the floors, blue and golden and white accent tiles, and blue walls.

Suits: Tahari, at the moment.

18. Where would you retire to?

Somewhere warm and sunny and cozy where I can curl up and sleep for days at a time. (Because when I retire, I'm going to be a cat.)

19. What was your most memorable birthday?

Hmm. I've had a lot of good birthdays. My four friends for turning four birthday was fun. I enjoyed the champagne at my 21st birthday. It was a really good party the year I turned 30. The year I turned 34, I was away from home and really sad -- until I discovered that my ex had sent me a card and gift and about a hundred chocolate kisses in an envelope.

This year's birthday was really good, too. It lasted a whole month!

Hmmm...cultivated ignorance has to rank up there...but honestly, people who have no compassion, especially for the weak in our society. Those who can hurt children, women, the elderly...I don't like that characteristic at all.

I'd rather not wear clothing, to be honest.

15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?

Right now? Probably Penny or Robin's. When I'm healed and stuff...hmmm...I'd rather meet friends somewhere. If not, Egypt. I want to walk like an Egyptian.

Is a hat really clothing? I guess it is. In that case I have this one cap that fits just right. I only wear it when I fish.

I also have a t-shirt - "Golden Boy" (remember that episode of seinfeld?) It has a skeleton of a fish on it and reads "fear no fish" but it's become so tattered I rarely wear it anymore.

Okay, sleepy.. I'll try not to erase yours.. or anyone else's..

There is one thing that makes me laugh about this particular thing. My oldest daughter, knowing I rarely do this sort of thing...just sent me one like yesterday.

For a laugh I think I'll post what she sent to me and then what I wrote cause you will be able to see the apple does not fall far from the tree. The only thing I will change is any names put in..that way we keep the privacy thing going..

Mexican - and I miss it! California was full of mexican food places and the ingredients to make it myself were cheap, fresh and yummy. Very little here, and when I make it, it's EXPENSIVE.
I can't even find a bag of pinto beans to make refried beans from scratch. ::sigh::

Liver, because it's gross, and almost all heavily processed foods - like bologna and those weiners in the cans or precooked bacon.

Sour Cream and Onion.

The Keene album my daughter bought me for Mother's Day.

No fair. I don't have a car right now and I'm not happy about it. The engine on the old one blew up a year ago and we can't afford to replace it. The car was a piece of junk anyway, but... it was a CAR, you know?

Cruelty - to humans; especially children and senior citizens, but all humans are included, and animals - so innocent.

The boots I got for Christmas three years ago and are just at that broken-in wonderful place.

If you ever get to the west coast would love to do that and medium filet is my fav too. Only I love asparagus. And Yes, snow white does have 3 sisters (and 4 brothers) all single....errr,umm, I won't go further.

Seriously, a couple of my girlfriends used to send care packages with stuff I couldn't get here: Starkist, Enchalada sauce and refried beans (which they do now have here , but in CA I paid around 79 cents and here it's $2.99) and Lipton unflavored Instant Iced Tea crystals.

If you want iced tea in this province (and it was the same in Calgary, so perhaps it's countrywide )... you HAVE to have it sweetened and flavored with lemon, raspberry or peach SYRUP. Geeeeeeeeesh... could it be grosser?

And yeah, I can (and do) make it with old-fashioned tea bags and ice (and it's BEST that way) but, sometimes it's just nice to have a jar or two on hand, ya know?

You know how expensive this kind of stuff is to ship these days? SUPER-DUPER-DUPER expensive. Cans are heavy! My girlfriend sent mexican food over the summer and it cost her more than the food had...
