Tomorrow's our Thanksgiving. This time, I get to be thankful for a few extra things.

Hard Work I'm thankful for the unbelievably hard work my wife has been doing to heal herself. Also, for the hard work that we're BOTH doing to get through some of the problems we've been having.

Friends As hard as this is, I'm thankful for her AB dad/healing buddy. The past is just that. Today, he's helping her through this critical stage. She likely wouldn't be doing it without him.

This Place It was hard for me to admit I need help with some things. Coming here got me through the beginning, and now I'm in much better position to handle the rest.

Hypatia I wish I had the words. You've all known her for some time. She just appeared for me. Three months through the cable line, and she knows me better than I know myself. I don't mean to minimize the great help from everyone else, but did you ever have someone who was just different; someone who saw through the bull doo; a teacher or doctor or neighbor who you knew just got it?

H, you remind me of Mrs. Kowalski, from my old paper route. She always knew when I needed some lemonade during the summer, or cocao in the winter. Cookies or a sandwich always there, too. One day, when I was pretty sick, she helped me deliver papers. She taught me how to plant bulbs, and that cherry tomatoes planted right next to the basil made for a terrific summer snack (try it...wrap the tomato in a leaf and down it...mmmm).

Now, I'm hoping you don't have quite the mustache she had, but that's not really that important.

Anyway, I have a lot to be thankful for, and just wanted to say

I think we all know what G and I are thankful for this year. H as well. We were just talking about that. Things looked a whole lot different this time last year, and it was horrible. Simply horrible. I can tell you now, I am grinning from ear to ear...very different this year.

I can't list all I am thankful for, the list would be too long. But my wife and children would be at the top of it. This village and the people I have met here either in person or on the phone...or email would be right up there too.
