You may have noticed that a few more "SYMC's" are showing up on some screen names today.

EJLH, BWA, and Sleepy join our other amazing Mods in the pursuit of safety, honor, and respect here at the Village. Over the next week or so I'll be redoing some of the forum pages and redistributing our Mod Squad around the boards.

Today, though, is party time. Be sure to congratulate our newest volunteer staff members. It's our volunteers that make the village what it is.

Thank You everyone. I've been hesitant to post this morning because once I do it will change all of my posts to include that big SYMC after my screen name. A bit scary.

I just have to say it feels really good to be trusted with such a responsibility after making such a huge life mistake. Not sure anybody can relate but it feels very healing to me.

I promise to do the best job I possibly can in my new job and I look forward to posting a bio soon so that you can all know me a bit better.

OK, here's a good Sleepy story.

It was February, 2005 and I am only 5 or 6 weeks after discovery of my affair. My H is devastated, I was contemplating divorce, splitting from our children, life is in shambles. I was in the deepest, darkest pit of chaos and depression that I have ever been in my life. Sounds like a good story so far, eh? I'm not to the good part yet.

By some miracle, I begin reading at MB. I kept coming across posts by Sleepy (only he had another, less fun name then). And, a little diode light started to be seen ahead on my path. He had gone through a lot of what I was going through, and I totally related to what he was saying. So, then I started to make it a habit to read Sleepy posts over my coffee in the morning. Learning taking place - hope for the future that things could get better.

Well, then I got brave and introduced myself in an MB group and was lucky enough to converse and continue learning. Then my H joined and after a whole lot of work and luck, we are doing really great after only 11 months.

I can't think of a better moderator. I owe Sleepy my life.
