No fair posting that. This thread is supposed to be about depressing thoughts. Hmmmm. Need to get us back on track. How about "life is what happens to you while you are waiting to gather the courage to get out of the huge pit you dug for yourself"? Or maybe "just when you thought you had gathered the courage to stop digging the hole deeper, it starts to rain, and now you have to bail furiously to keep the water from filling in the hole and drowning you"? Or "just when you convinced yourself that bailing water is more productive than digging the hole deeper, you realize that the people around you are, totally inadvertently, throwing their bailed water into your hole"? Or "just when you think to grab a log and let the water fill up the hole and float you to the surface, you realize that a rattlesnake already had that idea"? Wow, am I on a roll or what!?!?!?
