Members of the SYMC Board of Advisors, School of Coaching, Mod Squad, EI's and those in other formal roles are designated as such with their titles under their screen names. Just J has her own additional title - but that's a conversation for another day.....

There is another class of Villager that requires being noted as well and those are the people who come here day after day and give freely of their time and resources to others who are hurting and confused. The Villagers who grasp the SYMC concepts and methods very well and who are able to clearly and compassionately express those ideas to others. When my team and I were dreaming about what this Gathering would be like one of the things we wanted to include was recognition for those generous and dedicated people - so we came up with the idea of the Village Elder.

Elders can be nominated by anyone who posts on our board. All you have to do is send any one of the Mod Squad or me an email with the screen name of whom you would like to suggest and why you think they deserve that honor. From there the staff and volunteer crew check out the nominee's posts and cast our votes. If the vote passes, the nominee is notified and can accept or decline the award.

Today, I am just tickled to announce that LuckyStar was nominated as a Village Elder and the vote was passed by the SYMC staff. She has graciously accepted the designation and you will now see the title "Village Elder" displayed with her screen name.

LuckyStar brings a whole lot of compassion to these boards and she packages it with common sense as well as sound SYMC concepts. She is one of the anchors whose kind words and pragmatic style make the Village the amazing place it is.
